1.  How long will it take to build my steel building?

After placing your order with TGC, it will take approximately 4-6 weeks to engineer and manufacture your custom building.  Upon delivery, your steel structure can be built in a matter of days.

2. How much does a steel building cost?

Wedgcor buildings are custom engineered buildings so there is no set price across the board.  However, depending on various options, our steel structures run at a fraction of the cost of traditional construction – about $20-$40 per square foot as opposed to general home construction that runs around $200-$300 per square foot.

3. Why is steel so much more affordable?

With steel, your money goes into the actual materials rather than the labor.  Since our buildings are built so quickly, the cost of labor drops significantly and this has a huge effect on your total cost.  

4. How do all-steel buildings compare to pole buildings or barns?

With Wedgcor steel, there is no wood that can rot, bend, contract or expand.  Quite simply, steel is stronger, safer, longer-lasting, and it will save you money.

5. Will my steel building just look like a big shed?

No.  As our pictures show, steel buildings can look like anything.  Today, many buildings that look like wood or other materials are in fact steel buildings.  We can give your building the look of wood or even put real wood siding on the building.  Wedgcor buildings are truly custom-designed buildings so if you have a look you want, but you also want the strength and affordability of steel, we can meet your needs. 

6. Can I get a bid over the phone?

Since our buildings are custom designed to your exact specifications, we find that it is better for our customers  if we come out to the site of the building, gather all appropriate information, and then after meeting with you, we are better equipped to  offer a more solid and informed estimate for your steel building.  All visits can be done anytime, on any day of the week, and are done at no cost to the customer. 

7. Will the steel rust? 

No.  Wedgcor steel has a 30 year warranty on the paint which will protect your building from rust.

8. What other kinds of warranties do you offer?

All Wedgcor buildings come with a lifetime engineering warranty, a 30 year warranty on the paint and a 1 year warranty on the erection of the building.

9. Your office is located in Lake Stevens.  Do you only service Snohomish County?

For over 20 years, TGC has done work all over the Pacific Northwest.  In addition, Wedgcor is a national company that distributes steel all over the country.  We will go to any location where we are needed.

10. Do I have a choice of colors?

Absolutely.  We offer a wide range of colors to that can match or come as close as possible to nearly any desired color.

11.  How big can the buildings be?

There is virtually no limit to the size of our steel buildings.  In addition, by going with steel, buildings can have free spans up to 240 feet.

12. Can TGC do the entire project for me?

Yes, we are a general contractor and can offer to assist you in the entire building process from site-prep and concrete work, to permits and the entire erection of the building.  We can do as much or as little as the customer would like.  At TGC, we will be with you the entire way from the beginning to turn-key.
